Evening 11 / Day 12 - Thessaloniki East / Volos

Last night we were invited to a meal with RC Thessaloniki East. This was instead of their more formal weekly meeting. We met with around forty of their members in a traditional Greek taverna in the city. We talked to them about Rotary and the Group Study Exchange Program and we were all engaged in worthwhile discussions. In the taverna, a band played traditional Greek songs which many of the club members joined in with.

We are now in the seaside town of Volos, having been driven down in a mini-bus by District Governor Panos and his wife Nena. We look forward to another educational discussion over dinner.
